Define completion clearly
Agree what a feature must do, how it will be tested, and what remains outside scope. Clear acceptance criteria help the team review delivery without relying on subjective impressions. End each review with a named next step.
Use controlled migrations, monitoring, and rollback steps. Test a release against existing records rather than only an empty development database. Explain which task matters next and why it takes priority.
Integration boundaries
Document APIs, authentication, failure handling, and data ownership. Test slow responses and unavailable external systems, not just the successful path. Set out the work, approval steps, and handover requirements in writing.
Test representative devices, permissions, interrupted connections, and failed inputs. Define acceptance checks with the people who will use the product. Use a real test inquiry to check delivery and follow-up.
